It's best to spot clean all cloth hats with a damp cloth using cold water, or hand-wash in a sink if necessary. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic for our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing.
Another option to take out wrinkles on the brim is to place a clean rag or old T-shirt over the wrinkled area then iron the area.
This hat is just what I need for sailing in hot summer Galveston Bay weather.
Sizing runs small on this style, I wish the crown was a little more substantial, but it is crushable. Seems like it's going to work well during the warm summer months. The usual Conner quality which is always outstanding.
Nice hat, but the XL I received was sized much more like a M at 22", not the 24" my big melon needs.
After many hat try outs (and try on's) I've hit upon the perfect hat that I've been searching for. The fit was spot on and style was exactly what I wanted. So glad I found Conner hats. Their commitment to the environment was a plus. People can't believe that the hat is made from recycled plastic bottles. I live in southern Ohio and am surrounded by woods. The humidity can be brutal at times but the hat is comfortable and cool.
