Using a lint brush or the adhesive side of tape will remove dust and dirt on wool hats. If your wool hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing. Always place a hat upside down on its crown if you do not have a hat rack for storage.
this hat was purchased for my son,who completely wore out his last one...
(Was starting to look like Jed Clamet ... Now he looks dashing , likeJeff Bridges.)
He and his family do not live near me but I'm sure he wares all the time ..
Ordered the black version, color darker than pictured. Perfect! Fits great and looks better. Construction top notch. Very happy with purchase.
I'm so pleased with my hat. It fits perfectly and looks great. Will be buying more hard soon!
Fits perfect and very well made! Going to buy a black one also. Just a very sharp looking hat!
Great hat! Excellent quality and great customer service and warranty!
So I did a bunch of tests for hours in direct sun to see which was cooler, a wool hat or a straw hat (Montecristi-style Panama Hat) and I was surprised that the WOOL hat seemed to keep you cooler, especially if there is not much breeze. My guess is that the thickness of the wool acts as insulation and doesn't allow the heat of the sun to penetrate to your head, while the lighter hat had better ventilation but the heat goes right through to your brain. Wool is also known to keep you cool as the Bedouins and other desert dwellers have learned: In hot temperatures, wool absorbs moisture from skin and helps to dissipate heat more rapidly.
