This low profile cap is made from Oiled cotton. "Oilskin" was originally used by sailors in the 1800's to protect them from the harsh elements. Features a buckle back size adjuster.
It's best to spot clean all cloth hats with a damp cloth using cold water, or hand-wash in a sink if necessary. We recommend using plant-based soaps because regular detergents can be toxic for our waterways.
Always let your hat dry naturally. If your hat gets out of shape, you can use steam from a tea kettle to reshape it. Hold the hat in the steam and allow it to soften. You can then reshape your hat to its original shape and then let it cool down before wearing.
Another option to take out wrinkles on the brim is to place a clean rag or old T-shirt over the wrinkled area then iron the area.
I like my baseball hats. I wear them more then ever I have been wearing alot of dad hat style ball caps and this is way more sturdy and tougher. I bought this one in black and it's GREAT really smart fit a little larger then most ball caps but super sturdy I can see this one lasting for decades it's well made with an organic sweat band. Really well worth the purchase

Brown vs Black
We purchased the brown Kentucky Waterproof hat at an event---about 4 years ago--my now 88 year old husband has lived in this hat-it fits and looks great--I'm ordering it's much needed replacement today and I'm hoping it is just as nice. I purched the same hat in black about a year ago -it still looks like new as it does not get worn. It's bigger sticks up from his head (kind of cone head look). Here's hoping our replacement is as good as hat #1.
